Ms. James mental health expertise has spanned over the course of 40 years which has allowed her to service a wide range of individuals during her tenure. She first began working for Columbia University, School of Engineering. Which later led her to embark upon a career which includes the City of New York, Shelter Care Systems, Tri-City Community Mental Health Psychiatrist and Psychiatric Department, Trinity United Methodist Church, and New Community Church of West Michigan. After bible college, she served in a chaplain role in both Crown Point, Indiana, and New York City.
Ms. James worked alongside the director of shelter systems in the Office of Procurement. There she learned effective set-up of shelter care facilities for individuals including Family, Men, Youth and Battered Women Centers. While working as an assistant she established an after-hours faith-based coalition which received accolades for outstanding community outreach work.
Ms. James soon switched her role to serve as a case manager working one on one with adults suffering from severe chronic mental health issues. Ms. James has provided initial intake and completion of assessments for new program participants utilizing the DSM in the completion of psychosocial documents, treatment plans and treatment plan reviews. Ms. James has served as a counselor and Psychiatric Technician providing direct crisis counseling, problem identification, and crisis de-escalation within the behavioral health initiative and recovery service. She has dedicated herself to engaging with both youth and adults who were deemed Wards of the State. Ms. James participated as a team player with guardians and court systems. She has served as a liaison between psychiatrists, social workers, physicians, teachers, and family members of participants. She has supervised within her program in Personal Center Planning, money management, medication management, providing administration, and specialized casework.
Ms. James' strong faith has played a major role in her upbringing. Never shying away from platforms that enabled her to express her faith. She has won various pageant crowns from Junior High school through college. Which opened doors to scholarships, modeling, organizing, and supervising summer workshops for young adults. Ms. James has found great fulfillment in opportunities to teach in various venues including Indiana University outreach, Blue Lake Fine Arts camp, Grand Rapids Ballet, Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and Masters Arts Theatre, to name a few. Ms. James currently operates a facility under the Standards of Care within the Person-Center Planning Mental Health Code 712.

We provide programs that protect the Developmentally Disabled Population and support them in achieving their highest level of wellbeing, mentally, physically, emotionally and financially.
